The Harambee Literary Prize is open to writers of ALL NATIONALITIES irrespective of citizenship or race.

Only entries written in ENGLISH are admissible for this competition.

Stories translated from other languages into English are acceptable.

Anyone who is 16 YEARS and above at the time of the closing date is eligible.

ENTRY FEE of $5 is applicable for each submission.

Entries must be entirely your own work. Any evidence of plagiarism will result in automatic disqualification.

Entries previously submitted in other competitions are eligible, (including those long-listed or shortlisted).

Simultaneous submissions are allowed but will become ineligible if they win a prize or get published in another platform.

You must inform us immediately should your entry be published or win a prize elsewhere. In such instances, entry fees will not be refunded.
